NAViCalC On-Premise Licensing

How Licensing Works

NAViCalC on-premise uses server-locked licensing to ensure compliance and prevent unauthorized distribution. Each license is cryptographically bound to your specific server.

1. Host fingerprinting — During activation, NAViCalC captures a fingerprint of your server's hardware identifiers (CPU serial, primary MAC address, hostname) to create a unique server identity.
2. RS256 JWT validation — Your license key is an RS256-signed JSON Web Token containing your server fingerprint, license tier, expiration date, and enabled modules. The application validates this token on startup.
3. Offline operation — After initial activation, the license does not require internet connectivity. The JWT is validated locally against the embedded public key.
4. Annual renewal — Licenses are valid for 12 months from activation. Renewal generates a new JWT with updated expiration. No data loss or downtime during renewal.

One License Per Server

Each license is bound to one physical or virtual server. If you need to migrate to a different server, contact our team to re-issue the license for the new host fingerprint. License transfers are included at no additional cost during your active subscription.

• Production server — one license required.
• Staging/test server — a separate development license is included free with every production license.
• High-availability / failover — contact sales for HA licensing options.

Annual Renewal

On-premise licenses renew annually. During your license period, you receive all platform updates, security patches, and new features. Renewal pricing is locked at your original rate for the first 3 years.

• Renewal reminders — We send renewal notices 90, 60, and 30 days before expiration.
• Grace period — A 30-day grace period after expiration allows continued operation while you process renewal.
• Data access — If you choose not to renew, your data remains fully accessible. Only the application stops accepting new transactions after the grace period.

Server-locked licensing is designed for organizations in regulated industries where cloud deployment may not meet compliance requirements:

• Financial services — Central bank data localization rules in the GCC require financial data to remain within national borders.
• Healthcare — Patient data subject to local privacy regulations benefits from on-premise hosting with full audit trails.
• Government contractors — Data sovereignty requirements that prohibit cloud hosting for classified or sensitive operations.
• EU GDPR — Data residency within EU borders with no cross-border data transfers.
• UAE PDPL / Saudi PDPL — Full compliance with Gulf data protection regulations through local hosting.
